In its first year, DWNA has formed strong partnership with the new City government… Sponsored a field trip with local government officials to view successful downtown redevelopments Formed a 501(c)-3 not-for-profit Led the effort to revitalize downtown Christmas decorations Received grant funding from Duke Energy to help promote downtown Played an active role in the Grand Junction Task Group, the visionaries for downtown redevelopment (75% of GJTG members live, work or own property downtown) Improved downtown communications via email distributions.
